One of our corporate clients wanted us to create a sleek lounge look for a farewell dinner at the St. Regis Monarch Beach. We used our white tufted booths and modern tables to construct an outdoor oasis of stark white and contemporary lines. Another lounge area was set up inside the clubhouse with our chocolate suede lounge furniture and matching side tables, which set the tone for the dramatic décor inside the ballroom. We used our Illumi tables along with our original suspended orchid centerpiece. The dramatic lighting from the tables transformed the standard ballroom into an exclusive club.
We can’t complain. We have definitely been blessed this week with gorgeous 80 degree weather in Los Angeles. With the arrival of Spring, we wanted to inspire you with a few gorgeous outdoor wedding canopies and chuppahs that flourish in their natural settings. Whether your design is made of draped linens, flowers or is a DIY project… it is guaranteed to make the most beautiful backdrop to your wedding ceremony! Here are some different styles of canopies and chuppahs…

With all eyes glued to the tube on Friday for the Royal Wedding extravaganza, we wanted to take a few minutes to debrief Kate Middleton’s stunning Royal Bridal bouquet!
Designed by acclaimed Royal Wedding floral stylist, Shane Connolly, the shield-shaped wired bouquet of delicate myrtle, lily-of-the-valley, sweet William and hyacinth was the perfect accoutrement to Kate Middleton’s impeccable Alexander McQueen dress.
According to the Royal Website, the flowers draw on the tradition and significance of the Royal Family and the Middleton family. The meaning of the flowers in the bouquet are:
Lily-of-the-valley – Return of happiness
Sweet William – Gallantry
Hyacinth – Constancy of love
Ivy: Fidelity; marriage; wedded love; friendship; affection
Myrtle: the emblem of marriage; love.
The bouquet contains stems from a myrtle planted at Osborne House, Isle of Wight, by Queen Victoria in 1845, and a sprig from a plant grown from the myrtle used in The Queen’s wedding bouquet of 1947.
The tradition of carrying myrtle begun after Queen Victoria was given a nosegay containing myrtle by Prince Albert’s grandmother during a visit to Gotha in Germany. In the same year, Queen Victoria and Prince Albert bought the Osborne House as a family retreat, and a sprig from the posy was planted against the terrace walls, where it continues to thrive today.
The myrtle was first carried by Queen Victoria’s eldest daughter, Princess Victoria, when she married in 1858, and was used to signify the traditional innocence of a bride.
Cheers to the new Duke & Duchess of Cambridge!

This has been a big week of publicity for us! As you all know, we were featured on Tyra’s Type F earlier this week. Later, we were thrilled to see some of our patriotic-themed props on the Dancing With the Stars American tribute episodes this week. Check out the still frames below!
Our golden eagle got the most attention on camera because it was perched on the judges table.

Mark Ballas and Chelsea Kane shine our vintage gas pump while our Statue of Liberty prop stands tall in the audience.
Our oversized wagon wheels created a perfect country set for Ralph Macchio and Karina Smirnoff’s Samba to “Sweet Home Alabama.”
Thank you Dancing With the Stars, it was great working with you! We are big fans!
